#Kuwait #Cricket set to play its first ever T-20 Internationals Bilateral Series with Qatar Cricket Association

#Kuwait #Cricket set to play its first ever T-20 Internationals Bilateral Series with Qatar Cricket Association at Asian town international cricket stadium in #Doha (Qatar).

The best of three T-20 Internationals will commence on Thursday 4th of July and end on Saturday the 6th of July with all the matches being played at night under flood lights considering the extreme hot conditions in the region.

ICC - International Cricket Council has approved the T-20 Internationals bilateral series between Kuwait & Qatar and will be extending all the technical support required to conduct the tournament successfully.

#ICC released their first ever T-20 International rankings for 80 of its members earlier last month and Kuwait is ranked 27th whereas Qatar is ranked 21st. A win here against Qatar will not only give Kuwait a boost in its rankings but will also help the team prepare for the ICC T-20 World Cup Qualifiers scheduled to take place in Singapore from 20th July until 29th where Qatar is also participating along with host nations Singapore Cricket Association, Malaysian Cricket Association and 11th ranked Nepal national cricket team in T-20Is.

Kuwait National Team’s trip to Qatar is exclusively sponsored by Kuwait Cricket’s principal sponsor (seniors cricket) #MGA who has been a pioneer over the past decade in sponsoring some of Kuwait’s most historic achievements and initiatives and this is no different to the ongoing legacy of the #MGA brand.

Kuwait Cricket board has taken a big positive step towards the future for all its 18 probables and has decided to give an allowance of 20$ (20th of May on wards) based on number of practice sessions attended for the ongoing national camp, including the tour to Qatar, and the players will also get a separate allowance of 500$ on the 9th of July before their departure to singapore (19th July) in the presence of all KC board members, sponsors, officials and leading media channels.

Maahas Sports is the official sports equipment partner for Kuwait Cricket and has offered all the 18 players of Kuwait Cricket an exclusive contract for International as well as domestic season of 2019-20 which will be facilitated by KC, managed directly by Maahas with all the interested and concerned players starting from the upcoming ICC T-20 World Cup Qualifiers in #Singapore.

Kuwait National team will be led by #KashifShareef who was responsible in getting Kuwait through as a captain to the upcoming Asia finals of ICC T-20 World Cup Qualifiers (Singapore) under the able coaching of #HerschelleGibbs where Kuwait beat #SaudiArabia in a nail biting finale last year at Kuwait Entertainment City Cricket Ground.

Kuwait Cricket Selection Panel: Pushpakumara (national coach) Mahmoud Abdullah (team manager), Rishi D Jayan (Director Domestic - Seniors), Ghayour Ahmed (Senior Men’s coach), Tahir Khan (Juniors Head Coach), Harshith Vora (Director Juniors) and Naveen D Jayan (Director Match Officials).

The chief selection of the final 14 to Qatar & Singapore has been done exclusively by the head coach #Pushpakumara and there could be a change based on team combinations post Qatar and prior to Singapore departure for ICC T-20 World Cup Qualifiers.
